I am hoping someone can help me determine why the 04 air unit's RockSteady in my JeNo Pocket is performing so terribly and can offer some advice.  I have another 04 lite that I built in a 70mm whoop and the RockSteady on it performs flawlessly with agressive flight.

Setup:

JeNo Poket standard frame (Unibody 4mm thick bottom plate) cut by CNC Drones of Canada.

BetaFPV 2-3s 20 AIO - Set up using the PID / Filter settings provided on the JeNo Pocket GetHub.

RCInPower 1203 8000kv

Gemfan 3520-3 props

DogCom 2S 560mah battery

I have the standard camera mount set up with the 04 camera in the TPU supsended from the 14mm standoffs.

if I just cruise around it is fine, but any aggressive flight and it goes crazy.

For now I have had to just turn off RockSteady.  I am just surprised as the 1S 70mm whoop with 30,000kv 0802 motors that I fly super aggressively it works perfectly.  It is running 96khz bluejay rather than the 48khz bluejay on the pocket, but I doubt that is the difference.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?  Thank you.

not sure :

you made a custom cut of the 2.5" Pcket, but with a 4mm bottom, and your props are 2520 (not 3520) ? 🤔

Apologies.  I also made a Jeno 3" at the same time.  I'm getting a little mixed up.  The Jeno Pocket has a 3mm bottom plate and GF2520 props.

Ok, that's good.

so , you should test in 48kHz. (instead of 96)

Thanks for your help.  My 70mm whoop is running the 96khz.  The pocket is currently running the 48khz.

my bad...sorry.....

do you have any BB ?

I definitely do.  I can make specific ones later today if that would help.  The one attached is just what filled up the log while I was flying around a small playground.  This would have been while flying  the Dogcom 2S 560mah battery which is 5 grams heavier than the other batteries I use.  The problem is more severe with this heavier and more powerful battery.

Because the file is too big to drop here I put it on Drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1IIA1bxbXgU1kPEly2-yuRcGdnhNnF5CZ?usp=drive_link

I misinformed you.  I was just jumping around some bushes and trees after flying my Jeno 3".  I am uploading a video of the exact flight to the same folder and you can see the terrible performance with RockSteady on.

Yeah, try 48 kHz.

The Blackbox link isn’t public.

You could also try printing the camera mount with softer TPU, or use fewer walls and less infill, to add more softmouting.

Maybe give Avan props a shot too (I haven’t tried stabilizing footage with Gemfan props). I had no issues with cinematic flights, even during dive recoveries.

But to be fair, I haven’t tested aggressive freestyle with stabilization, it doesn’t really make much sense anyway.

Thank you for your response.  Thank you even more for the awesome frames!  I love flying both my Jeno 3" and my Jeno Pocket very much.

I fixed the link to the BB and video.  Apologies.

The escs are running the 48khz bluejay that the AIO came with as you recommended in your video for this FC (Betafpv 20A).

I will have another camera mount printed.

To your point, it probably doesn't make sense to worry about the stabilization.  I only fly it in 1080/100 resolution.

I've ordered the Avan props, so I'll give that a try also.
